Your Impact

By supporting BACT, you play a lead role in bringing live theatre and theatre education to the children of the Bay Area—the generation who will draw on their life experience to build a better future for us all.

Thank you for your participation and enthusiasm! Please take a bow!

Like other nonprofit arts organizations, Bay Area Children’s Theatre needs more resources than ticket sales alone can provide in order to sustain the highest level of arts and education programs and make them accessible for all Bay Area children and families.

With generous philanthropic support from our community of friends and patrons, over the past year we’ve made tremendous strides expanding our programs to reach larger audiences than ever before.

  • Created a welcoming theatre destination in the Downtown Berkeley Arts District specially designed for children and families
  • Extended our reach to thousands more families in San Francisco
  • Expanded our after-school classes and camps throughout the Bay Area
  • Reached thousands of students who would not otherwise be able to experience theatre with workshops through our new Arts in Schools program and special Student Matinee performances of our professional productions
  • Created and produced two highly successful original shows—Fly Guy, the Musical and The Rainbow Fish Musical—which have been honored for their excellence by our theatre peers.

Our goal for the children of the Bay Area is that they will all experience theatre by the time they complete elementary school. With your help, we are moving closer to that goal, and we have ambitious plans to inspire even more young theatre lovers and their families in the year ahead.
