May 5th is EAST BAY Gives 2015 – an online day of giving sponsored by the East Bay Community Foundation to support nonprofit organizations making life better for our communities.

Bay Area Children’s Theatre is participating in EAST BAY Gives 2015 to raise $20,000 for a new musical inspired by stories created by children with special needs.

Our project to create this unique new musical for young audiences has already been honored with a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts! But we still have further to go! We must secure an additional $20,000 to enable children with special needs to express their creative voice in storytelling workshops from which we will develop and produce a new work for the stage.
